Technology, Media and Ghanaian Youth
Since we came to Ghana in 2003, a huge percentage of the population, especially the youth have been impacted through the media. Today, almost every youth has a cell phone or have access to one. This gives them access to internet, so the first thing that most of them will do is set up a Facebook, email and WhatsApp account. And walking through a village, you will see small or sometimes large groups of people gathered in front of a TV, and many people also listen to the radio every day. Generally, what comes through the media is believed and excepted as truth.
I have a half hour weekly radio program that reaches about 10,000 people. My goal for this radio program is to reach these people with the pure and undiluted word of God. To present the Word in truth and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Very soon I want to start using Facebook to improve and enlarge my area of influence. We plan to also start posting some of our teachings on line.
We are now planning to set up a point to point transmitter to have Internet access at our ministry location. This will improve our communication very much with ministry partners, friends and family from abroad, as well as greatly improve and impact our ministry ability here.
The total cost to set this up is about $2,675 US.
We invite you to partner with us in financially supporting this project.
