#4 Hearing and Seeing God in our Circumstances
#4 Circumstances
Sometimes God uses circumstances in our lives to speak to us, and perhaps arranges them at times for us to come to a place where we just have to make a decision. And in these times He may also watch us and see what the motive is of our choice. If we decided for selfish reasons or if we in all things seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. We also know that the Lord does not speak to us about everything, for He has given us a mind to think, and He expects us to use our mind and make wise choices. Proverbs 3:6 says “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.” (NKJV) We want tot try to have the mind of Christ, (See 1 Cor 2:16) and in Romans 12:1-2 the apostle Paul talks about surrendering our bodies unto the Lord as a living sacrifice, and renewing our mind, “so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” The closer we walk with the Lord, and have the peace of God regularly in our lives, the easier it will be to decern His will for us in whatever circumstance we may find ourselves.
