Christmas in Ghana
When the Harmattan dust rolls into Ghana from the Sahara desert, we know it’s almost Christmas! Even the smallest children begin to sing the songs of Jesus’ birth. This December we gave gift boxes and bags to children. We gave to the most needy and prepared to host a team from the States.
A few months ago we met a Russian missionary family who live in another village in Ghana. They introduced us to Light to the World, an American ministry that also works in Ghana. The team is made up of Russians and Ukrainians who have immigrated to the States. Pastor Paul who founded Light to the World, also ministers in Israel and Ukraine.
The team arrived at our place in the middle of December. They hosted day camps at two schools, preached the gospel, sponsored the digging of wells, performed a play on Christmas Eve and put a cross on the top of the mountain.
Together with the team, we visited one of the the slums in Accra, before heading off to the beach for a little rest.
2015 was a good year and we are looking forward to the adventures of 2016!
Blessings,
