Amazing Grace

Paul Ampo was a fetish priest.  A fetish priest is often deeply rooted in ancestral and demon worship.  Often, those who have not been set free from this stronghold will fear and believe that the ghosts of the dead are around, and that they can cause sickness, accidents and even death.  But Paul was miraculously saved!  He had a powerful dream that caused him to come to the church and dedicate his life to Jesus. He immediately asked for baptism so we baptized him. If a person like this asks for baptism, then we know his commitment to Jesus is very real. That means they are being completely cut off from the fetish system.

The teaching of Paul in Romans 6 about baptism is powerful. We identify with the death of Jesus as we are dunked under water, and we identify with His resurrection as we come up out of the water. The old life is now cut off and a new life has begun.
