Some of these children received gift boxes for the first time in their lives! Two couples from Gospel Mennonite Church in Sublet, Kansas came to Ghana to hand out the boxes that their church had put together back in December. After some delays the gifts were released from the port shortly after the team arrived and Hans and Corny were able to join Jake in going to the port city to pick them up. Two of the villages, Aziedukope and Xenakofe, had never received gift boxes before. We would like to send a big thank you to the church for assembling and sending the boxes. Also thank you to Hans, Tina, Corny and Sarah for coming all the way over here to encourage us and bring joy to so many children. You were such a blessing!
We have experienced some shipping delays for the gifts from Canada. We expect to get them over here in about eight weeks. That means that if anyone reading this would like to help hand them out, now would be the time make your plans!
