God is speaking loudly to us about the sign of the times.
Hello Friends
We do not worship creation, we worship the Creator. Our attention is on the Lord and we seek to know Him more and more. But God the Creator has put the sun, moon and stars in the heavens for signs and seasons Genesis 1:14. What is happening the next two years with the blood moons and solar eclipses appearing on the feasts of Israel are absolute signs from God! God is speaking loudly to us about the sign of the times. As far as even some of the greatest historians know, this has never happened that these signs have been announced ahead of time as they are this time, with the connections to the feasts of Israel. The wise men traveled for months to follow a star which led them to Jesus. May we be wise men today and be alert, and seek understanding as to what God is saying to us through the signs in the heavens.
I want to continue with the teachings on the Feast of Tabernacles since this feast is not yet fulfilled in the new covenant, and we believe that now is the time.
The Feast of Tabernacles has many applications
- The Feast of Unity
- The Feast of Joy
- The Feast of Ingathering
- The Feast of Rest
- The Feast of Glory
- The Feast of Restoration
- The Feast of His Appearing
The Feast of Tabernacles-The Feast of His Appearing
After Jesus rose from the dead, He appeared to the women, He suddenly appeared to the two disciples walking on the road, He suddenly appeared to the disciples in the room of locked doors and other places. He would just suddenly appear to them. In all the accounts of His appearing after His resurrection He was seen by believers only. Acts 13:31 says that “for many days He appeared to those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, the very ones who are now His witnesses to the people.” He appeared speaks of Him being present. The Greek word here is parousia, denotes both an “arrival” and a consequent “presence with.”
We see the same meaning of the Lord’s appearing about twenty one times in the New Testament. Here are just a few. Hebrews 9:28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. Malachi 3:2-3 “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. 1 Peter 5:4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. 1 John 2:28 Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming. 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10 “This is a plain indication of God’s righteous judgment so that you will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which indeed you are suffering. For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed — for our testimony to you was believed.”
All of these scriptures and many others speak of His coming which have nothing to do with us going up to heaven. I long to be with Jesus in heaven, I am looking forward to the day when “people from every tribe and tongue and people and nation” will gather to worship Him around and in the midst of His throne! But at this time we are anticipating His appearing, His coming. Jesus went up to the Feast of Tabernacles “as if in secret” John 7:9. His appearing (parousia) is to those who eagerly await Him. He is coming to those who have made themselves ready.
Jesus is coming to the bride that has made herself ready. Revelation 19:7-8, Jesus is looking for the church that has no spot or wrinkle. Ephesians 5:25-27 sais “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.” I used to believe that no spot meant no sin, while that is part of it, but if we look at these words “having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word” Then we see another application here that has to do whit Him speaking to us, and as we receive His spoken word we are being cleansed. But any time He speaks a word to us and we reject it then our robe is spotted. This would include if we reject any part of His written word or even pass genuine moves of God. We must believe in His full word and the fullness of the Spirit. Having no wrinkle speaks of youthfulness. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead shall give life to our mortal bodies. Romans 8:11. Jesus is not coming for a sick, weak and defeated church, He is looking for the bride that has made herself ready, He is looking for overcomers who will qualify to sit with Him on the throne to rule and reign, He is looking for mature sons and daughters through whom even this physical world will be set free from decay and slavery. Oh may we be found in this company of people!
We see different aspects of His appearing. In some cases, especially when it speaks of His glory we see judgment for the world but salvation for His people. We also see the scriptures that speak of His appearing as parousia, which denotes both an “arrival” and a consequent “presence with.” There are testimonies of His appearing to individuals throughout church history. These testimonies are genuine and true for the lives of these individuals prove it, and it lines up with scripture. Walter Beutler for example, who was a spiritual father to my spiritual father Wade Taylor, experienced the Lord Jesus coming into his room a number of times and speak with him. Wade Taylor on the other had experienced a liquid pillar of His glory for a period of three days in his bible school. Everyone who touched it was forever changed. The fruit of these men’s lives and ministry alone are a testimony and a witness that what they experienced was of the Lord, and it lines up with scripture. In November of 2008 I awoke one night with a heavy burden for the USA. As I was praying and meditating, suddenly, I saw the Lord Jesus standing with His hands partially raised; I did not hear Him say anything in an audible voice but I knew He was saying “How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.” I am not sure if He was actually there in body or if it was a vision, but it was so real that any time I think about it I can see Him as clear as the moment it happened.
Jesus said John 14:21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” NKJV. This word “manifest” speaks of Him showing Himself as in appearing, openly, outwardly.
As we are in the season of the closing of one age and the dawning of another, we can expect the Feast of Tabernacles to be fulfilled, and during that time, I believe from scriptures that we can expect the appearing of the Lord Jesus to all His witnesses, to those who long for His appearing, to those who love Him and hold to His word. It may be in your prayer closet, it may be on your way to work, it may be in gatherings of His witnesses; but He can just suddenly be there. “The Spirit and the bride say come”. Revelation 22:17. Amen.
